Synopsis:
What an introduction!! Some of the Gods I didn't guess until the last or until the reveal from each character. And the killer?? Yeah I so didn't see it coming it either; talk about keeping enemies close.
I really liked hate as a character, she was convincing enough as a modern character thrown into the Greek World. I enjoyed the host of characters, as well as the glossary at the back of the book (because I wouldn't have know who was who without it). Calliope was the hardest to guess for me.
The challenges she faced were sometimes astronomically but she totally conducted herself well. I loved her decision and the end. Totally a fair method of punishment if you asked me. Ava had to be the easiert to guess, and I loved how she helped Kate develop.
Poor Kate, her desperate fear of being alone put her is some sticky spots.the "how Henry finds out" so heartbreaking. He's so afraid all because of Persephone.. Le Damn.... I can't wait to read the other books. This series is so good!!

Synopsis:
Every girl who had taken the test has died. Now it's Kate's turn. It's always been just Kate and her mom - and her mother is dying. Her last wish? To move back to her childhood home. So Kate's going to start at a new school with no friends, no other family and the fear that her mother won't live past the fall. Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld - and if she accepts his bargain, he'll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests. Kate is sure he's crazy - until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she succeeds, she'll become Henry's future bride and a goddess. If she fails...<
