Y'all already know I'm going to fangirl all over this one don't you?? Y'all know I love me some werewolves, Highlanders, and of course Terry Spear. What's that?? Lookie here; I got all three in one hit. YAAAY!! For this me this book was a hit.  I read it while taking part in the 30 Book Challenge on Youtube and I finished this one in like two days.  I loved reading it, and I was just so enraptured by the scenery because I love the Caribbean and Terry captures the island well and makes it very much a part of the story, of course the fact that I read this during the summer heat only helped.

It was funny, and sexy and it moved pretty quickly.  You got pulled into the story right from the get go; especially because this isn't the first book it's part of the series but you can read it separately.  The few references to other family members are explained and frankly made me more curious to read all the books. ( I've been sporadic with reading this series, picking it up all over the place, I'll get better I swear)

Duncan was my kind of Highlander, he was loyal to his family and hell bent on proving himself, he didn't want other to think he was weaker or less of a man so he did every mission that was considered dangerous.  On his way to capture the wolf who stole from his clan, he sees a female wolf and he feels like he needs to protect her. Never mind that he's turned on by her scent, but he's got a job to do and he's just being responsible and taking care of her for now,  I loved how they met, and from the beginning the chemistry that was between them.  The characters were well written and their conversations and their scenes very engaging and sometimes hilarious.

The story has a bit of romance, a bit of science, a bit of action and a whole lot of them getting to know each other.  They at first fought their attraction because they were both here with a mission and now they have been thrown together they have to learn to work together for the chance to beat their common enemy.  The villain in the story isn't a simpleton so he certainly made them work for it.  I loved that the action didn't all happen off script and that it wasn't too crazy either.

Shelley is witty, sarcastic, fun and keeps Duncan on his toes the whole time., She doesn't back away from a fight easily and she's an asset to Duncan in a way no one else has ever been.  I loved that Shelley's not immediately charmed by the concept that he might have money because of their family's shared past.

The story flowed well, the characters are well written and I'm glad I read the book and of course will be adding it and the rest of the series I'm missing to my shelves. I can't wait to read the other wolves stories that will certainly come from this.

 ★★★★☆
If you love werewolves, witty characters, and a great story, then I highly recommend this story for you.
Happy Reading
