Synopsis:
When Felicity wakes up in a strange bed naked she begins to freak out. Running from the man she doesn't know she makes her way home and gets ready for her interview. I laughed a little when she walked into the interview and it was the man from that day. In all the years Felicity has been going to school she has never cut loose and the one night she does it's with her future boss.
Freaking out a little when she thinks he's a complete jerk, she tries to lay down some ground rules and he's not here for it, it's his firm and he isn't looking for someone to come and mess it up. As we progress we discover that they both formed assumptions about each other based on the facts they can only see. Poor Damon has had a rough time of it and he's trying to keep from repeating his mistakes, when he realizes that Felicity wasn't who he thought she was he cut her loose. Poor Felicity has given up everything she has had to fight the good fight and no one would listen or fight on her behalf; this was her last desperate attempt at right a grave mis-justice.
I get her motivation, but I have to wonder if the author has ever really been in a hurricane??? Because let me tell you that scene and the subsequent pages?? Wouldn't go down like that. I have lived through many hurricanes and I can tell you no matter how strong willed you are when one comes along nobody stands an effing chance. Until that moment I actually was loving this story.
I love how it eventually ends and I'm happy for Felicity. Damon had some serious making up to do and at least when faced with the task actually made an effort to correct his mistakes. I totally understand his reasoning, I'm sure I would have done the same thing.

It's a cute story with a few good plot moments and some overly dramatic ones. But still a cute story.
