I'm on a roll with Erin this week. I finished this book in one night, I got no sleep but I needed to finish. Jessica's story is both sweet and raunchy. I loved Riley, even more than I loved Tyler. It's just so awesome to read their story and fall in love with them as they fall in love.
I loved that Jessica was willing to learn more about herself and about the world around her, she was willing when push came to shove to be more than others expected of her and she learnt so much about herself in the process. I loved that she wasn't like the cutesy useless girl, she liked dressing up, but she also liked working hard, she was a really rounded young woman. Lost and looking for where she fits, loving her life and wanting more from it. She was very modern about her love life although others saw it differently.
I just LOVED Riley, I mean who wouldn't?!! This is a guy who could have gone so many different ways with his life, but he choose to save his family the best way he could. He's not perfect, he has a temper problem and a few little addictions but he does more for others than they do for him. He's had a tough life but he still smiles and gives it his all.
I know I'm not articulating my true emotions, because well the feels!!! I loved this book, I loved Riley and his potty mouth, I loved the way he worked for his family, how he LOVED Jessica all the way down to his soul. I loved Jessica, how she was willing to embrace being with Riley, I loved that she was just as sarcastic and potty mouthed as Riley.I loved her modern beliefs on relationships, I loved that she was as screwed up if not more than Riley with her beliefs about relationships. They were both vulnerable and sensitive about so much and would discover it in sometimes in the worst way possible, they were at times their own worst enemies and I loved every second of the drama and the making up, oh gawds especially the making up. I loved how they pushed each other and how much clearer they got not just about each other but about themselves.
I do have to remove points for a few inconsistency within the story. At the beginning with her talk with Ben, and then a scene between her and Riley, she changed her ideals on something which made the discussion with Ben a lie. I don't want to throw out spoilers but yeah, someone should have caught that.
This book gave a way better ending that Tyler's and Rory's however since Tyler & Rory make appearances within this book and you get some explanation as to why the ending was the way it was for them. I had a moment in that scene when Riley comes home close to the end of the book and I totally choked up a little, I got a little scared that Erin was going to really break our hearts.

I loved this book even more than I loved True and this one now ranks up their with the Crossfire series for me, yeah they love just as fiercely even though they are not as wealthy. Which totally makes them love them even more.
